Sargent first class. Crystal Baetz, a U.S. Army Reserve military police Soldier with the 603rd Military Police Company in Belton, Missouri, drags her 200-pound-plus partner out of harm’s way during a firefighter training simulation at the Highland Park Fire Department in Highland Park, Michigan, Oct. 13. The exercise is designed to train firefighters to find other firefighters who have become immobile and carry them to safety. During the training, Baetz had to wear her usual 80-pound load of gear, carry a full sized fire hose, wear a gas mask and find her partner while wearing a blindfold in order to simulate a building densely filled with smoke and carbon dioxide. Baetz is the first female interior firefighter at that location. She is also a 911 dispatcher and a combatives level four qualified instructor. (

Paul Baetz is a Highland park fireman for many years a retired army veteran and a level 4 combative instructor Paul is an instructor here at the grey and hold a two stripe purple belt 

Justin McHugh earned his black belt from Victor "El Torito" Torres. Justin has 15 years of BJJ experience and has won multiple IBJJF tournaments. He graduated from Alma College in 2005 with a BA. While there he was a 4 year All-Conference football player. Justin has 20 years of educational experience and is extremely passionate about teaching the art to those who wish to learn Submission Grappling.

Ralph white has been part of martial arts community for 15 years. He started in the arts of Karate. He studied Moo Duk Kwan with his two sons and reached the level of blackbelt. He transferred into coaching. Ralph has cornered his sons and many fighters as well as coach at karate tournaments and cage matches. Ralph is now studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has been for the last 6 years. He is a purple belt and an instructor here at the grey. Ralph is passionate about martial arts and enjoys helping kids and adults learn self defense and belt in the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Ralph enjoys helping the process of keeping martial arts alive and thriving.

Founded in December 2010 by Victor "El Torito" Torres, Victorious MMA is a versatile gym centered around Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing. VMMA not only focuses on the sport aspect of training, but the reality of violence and the application of the discipline in the context of the street.
